Dragon and Tiger Qi Gong WorkshopSun and moon in Yin Yang symbol

in San Francisco

Sunday, July 10th ~ 4-6pm

Dragon and Tiger is a Medical Qi Gong that is over 1500 years old. It is thought of very highly for it’s ease of learning and the tangible results practitioners receive with relatively little knowledge. Most Qi Gong systems that address the energy meridian lines of the body are rather complicated to learn.

From my perspective as a body-centered psychotherapist, I have found it to my wonderfully effective for:
~ Releasing stress
~ General Relaxation
~ Improving the Ability to Handle Distressing Emotions
~ Releasing Trauma from the Body
~ Stabilizing Mood and the Nervous System

Having once been a professional dancer, I have also found it very effective for:
~ Improving Stability and Mobility of all the joints
~ Balance and Coordination
~ Significantly increased energy
~ Reducing Muscular Tension and Pain

From a health perspective, it is considered excellent for clearing stagnant energy and strengthening the the overall health of the energy lines of each of the major organ systems. Though I primarily teach from the perspective mentioned above, there are multiple general health benefits my clients have reported getting including improved digestion, sleep, and sexual functioning.

***I am teaching Dragon and Tiger Qi Gong in monthly workshops. This system contains 7 movements. Each workshop we will spend the first half reviewing movements that have been covered in the past. The second half will be spent learning a new movement. There is a facebook group where exercises, videos, and Q&A will be posted to promote your practice at home. If you have missed something you’d like to be able to go over more deeply, there will be opportunity to schedule make-up sessions individually or with another student(s).***

All levels are welcome and can benefit!

The many benefits of these techniques include:

~ The ability to create a deep state of calm and relaxation

~ Releases blocked and stagnant Qi

~Improves health and functioning of the internal organs

~ Reduces stress and anxiety

~ Releases old mental and emotional patterns

~ Improves focus and attention

~ Helps the body move as an integrated whole

Ever since first learning Taoist Breathing and Meditation, I have devoted decades to their practice and can personally attest to the brilliant impact they’ve had on my own life. I’ve also had the joy of witnessing their impact of my clients – the most notable of which is its ability to reduce the impact of anxiety disorders and occurrence of panic attacks. I’ve used them to assist clients in a full range of mood disorders and trauma and am always touched and impressed with the results.

These are things you can do anytime and anywhere to continuously improve your health and quality of life.
